Travelers of Memphis, TN's New CD "Breaking Through".

Travelers.
In 1967 the Premier Gospel Recording Co.,
Duke-Peacock recorded all of the leading Gospel Groups. One of those
groups were The Sunset Travelers. Under the leadership of Grover Blake,
another member of was O. V. Wright, who went on to be a Great Blues
Singer. The Legendary Rev. Jeff Brown and others are still holding
on. The Sunset Travelers were a full-time Road Group until 1970.
Now, under of Rev. Jeff Brown, they have returned to the Gospel Music
scene on Gospel Express Records, a "Traditional" recording
company that will have nothing to do with the new-age, hip-hop or pop
gospel music.
The Harmony on this CD is top notch, but
not overpowering. The Sunset Travelers are best known for their unique
style and vocal arrangements. The Sunset Travelers have acquired a
special niche however, and their style and approach are not in
competition with other Groups. They are truly in a class of their own. It
is very difficult to achieve and maintain a long term career in the field
of Gospel Quartets, but they are surviving. They are back on the road and
will coming your way S-0-0-N!
